Diane Thielen
Diane’s love of piano began at the age of five. At age 12, she began playing the piano and organ for church services and vocal groups, a focus that has been a priority throughout her life and piano career.
Diane earned a B.S. in Music from Arizona Christian University with an emphasis in piano performance.
A gifted accompanist, Diane sought broader opportunities which grew into a 12-year staff position in the North Clackamas School District in Clackamas, Oregon and 7 years at Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon. Diane’s passion lies in creating a supportive teamwork with directors and students alike, having worked withthousands of students of all ages in choirs, choral and solo competitions, concerts, and musical theater productions as well as continuing serving in local churches.
Having moved with her husband to central Oregon in 2016, she has been privileged to accompany the Central Oregon Mastersingers, Bend Camerata, Youth Choir of Central Oregon, the Sunriver Music Festival Young Artists Scholarship Program, and several high school and middle school choirs. Diane and her husband of 39 years are thankful to have their adult children and young grandson in the central Oregon area.

Suzanne Gainey
Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance, Cello Performance and Music Education as well as a California teaching credential for K-12 Music from Humboldt State University in Northern California. She has performed regionally and internationally as a pianist, cellist, and vocalist and has garnered numerous awards and scholarships for her talents including the MTNA Star Award.
During her college years and beyond, Suzanne was sought out by peers and faculty due to her skill as a piano accompanist. She toured in Europe with the Redwood Coast Children’s Chorus and performed at many senior recitals for fellow music majors and professional vocal ensembles. As principal cellist in the Humboldt Symphony, Suzanne led her section and often provided the research for the concert program notations. She currently plays and performs in the Cello section with the Central Oregon Symphony. Singing is another passion and Suzanne is currently singing and performing as a guest artist on piano with the Master Singers of Central Oregon.
Suzanne currently resides in Bend, Oregon where she teaches piano and cello in her private studio and when she’s not at the keyboard, singing, or behind a cello, Suzanne is a wife and mother of two teenage daughters and one purebred poodle who all keep her on her toes!
