You do NOT need to be a current member of the Central Oregon Mastersingers to participate — this summer program is open to ALL singers, regardless of background or experience. Some ability to read music is helpful. There are no auditions and no strict attendance requirements — just come when you can and enjoy making music in a fun, welcoming, and inspiring environment.

Handel’s Messiah Community Sing-Along

We’ll sing Part 1 of Messiah (the “Christmas” portion), and—of course!— the Hallelujah Chorus.
Members of Mastersingers will perform the solo movements, and YOU are invited to join us in singing the rest! A limited number of loaner scores will be available, but please bring your own if you have one. (Any edition will do!) CLICK HERE for a pdf version of the score. For those wishing to sing, you are invited to attend a rehearsal on Tuesday, December 16 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Nativity Lutheran Church. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each event. You may choose to sit in your vocal section, or with your family and friends in general admission. Donations are welcome and appreciated. Whether you just want to listen and experience the music, or raise your voice in chorus, we hope you will join us! |
